Savannah- I chose the name Savannah because it is a beautiful name, also I have researched about the name and I found a amazing lady named Savannah Churchill. Savannah Churchill was a successful American singer of pop and blues music in the 1940s and 50s.

Brave Person- Mum

When my mum was just 23 she decided to go bungee jumping in Queens town! She thought it would be so much fun but as soon as she got to the top of the bridge (were you jump of ) she got scared. But instead of being to scared and going back down my mum put on a brave face and did the bungee jump. What a brave girl!

Week 1- Day 1- Activity 1- Setting Sail

Activity 1-

For this activity, make a list of ten food items that you could take with you. Please think carefully about what you will take as you won’t have access to a refrigerator or freezer while at sea. Please explain why you would select each item.

• Cookies- I chose Cookies because, its something sweet that doesn't need to be kept cold.
• Yogurt- I chose Yogurt because, it has Calcium in it and can sometimes be eaten warm.
• Bananas- I chose Bananas because, it has lots of Potassium in it and is healthy.
• Pineapple- I chose Pineapple because, it has lots of vitamins in it and it tastes yum!
• Tomatoes- I chose Tomatoes because, they have a great source of Vitamin C and K.
• Bread- I chose Bread, because, it has a good amount of protein and gives you energy.
• Cereal- I chose Cereal because, it is a great breakfast food and a nice way to start the day.

A Splishin' And Splashin' Pool Trip!

 A Splishin' And Splashin' Pool Trip!

In the Tumu hub we were lucky enough to go to Waltham pool for our big day out. Every year we go to the pool to celebrate how the year has gone, so today I'm going to tell you about the trip to the pool! First it was the bus ride, then we were there! We had to sit down and listen to what the life guard had to say. Then we jumped in the pool, I slowly walked into the pool, as soon as my foot touched the water I was freezing. My friend splashed me, so I dipped my head under then it was so cold that I hoped our and had something to eat! Then it was my turn to go on the water slide, me and my friends got a band on then we rushed up to the top. We went in twos and tried to catch up to each other we did that about ten times, I have to say that was the highlight of the trip for me. Mia The Inspiring Speaker!

On the 26th of November we were lucky enough to have a 17 year old girl named Mia come in and talk to us about her journey in life! It all started when she was 11,  she was having trouble with spelling and maths, so she was moved down a grade, later in the year they got a new deputy principal and introduced her into robotics. If you dont know what robotics is it is like coding. Anyways, she went to her first competition and made and placed third then they went of to Canterbury's ,and won first place with the same code. Ever since then she has continued robotics to this day.
