This week for writing we have been doing poetry. We got to choose from 4 different poems, a haiku, a rhymed poem, a riddle poem or a shape poem which I did. A shape poem is basically just a poem where you write about what you want then put it into the shape of what you are talking about. I did the sun. Here is my work:
What is your favourite style of poem?
To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - Begin with a greeting. Talk about something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A comment that will mean something to me to let me know you read/watched or listened to what I had to say. - use any language.
3. Something helpful - Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.

ReplyDeleteGreat job on your shape poem! You have used some awesome vocabulary to describe the sun, I love the phrase "the sun slowly retreats into the night". I have never written a shape poem before, I enjoy reading riddle poems and I like writing haiku's.
